• Internet services provider UKFast revealed plans to invest £8m in two new data centres in Greater Manchester which will double the capacity by next summer.
• Manchester City announced annual losses of £194.9m, the highest ever recorded in English football.
• Manchester city council faced a bill of up to £700,000 after losing its bid to compulsorily purchase the landmark London Road Fire Station.
• The second round of bids to the Regional Growth Fund ended in success for 39 north west project.
