Sharks Cycle to Thousands for Charity

Premiership rugby players from Sale Sharks geared up for the annual Manchester to Blackpool charity bike ride.

The north west's biggest bike ride kicked off in Albert Square on Sunday morning to raise cash for the Christie Hospital, before weaving its way across 60 miles of country lanes to reach the Promenade in Blackpool.

Players Mark Cueto, Luke McAlister, Jason White, Dwayne Peel, Lee Thomas, Dean Schofield and Rory Lamont were among the group which helped raise thousands after being sponsored by Manchester-based web hosting company UKFast.
