Three GM firms in Deloitte's list

Three firms from the Greater Manchester area are featured in Deloitte's annual Fast 50 awards.

Manchester-based UKFast ranked at 29th, Rawtenstall-based 2ergo ranked 43rd and Wigan-based Valueworks came in at 46th in the accountancy firm's national ranking of the country's fastest growing technology companies. Jodi Birkett, technology media and telecoms partner for Deloitte in Manchester, said that software and internet companies dominated the list.

"It is not just technology that makes these companies leaders in their sectors - it is about the quality of the people and their intellectual property," she said.
