UKFast Appoints New Head of Sales

Manchester-based internet hosting provider UKFast has appointed Andrew Gibbens as its new head of sales. Gibbens previously worked in a similar capacity for its US-owned rival Rackspace, whose European headoffice is based in Uxbridge, near London.

It grew sales from £5m to a run rate of £60m over a three-year period, and UKFast managing director Lawrence Jones said that this experience would prove vital if it were to meet its target of achieving its turnover target of £18m by 2009. The firm said it was on schedule to meet its goal of £7m in sales this year.
