Manchester-based UKFast is a specialist business-to-business ISP providing services to clients such as Sainsbury's, Dollond & Aitchison and Printing.com. As well as domain hosting, UKFast offers a dedicated support team who manage and maintain each client's online presence. Managing director Lawrence Jones said: "The technology industry relies on people and I have some of the very best." On making the award, the judges agreed that UKFast had placed importance on client data protection and offered customers a variety of secure hosting packages which include automated patch management and good service level agreements. Mr Jones said: "Every year we look at where we can improve our offering and in the immediate future we are recruiting within the customer service team in order to further improve our service." The ISPA judging panel also named HM Revenue and Customs as Internet Villain for failing to protect people's personal data and losing computer discs containing confidential details of 25 million child benefit recipients. | |
