Avoid the mud, visit virtual Glastonbury

This year, Glastonbury fans can enjoy the unique music and festival vibe without having to put up with lost tents or scary portaloos. For the first time ever the BBC are to provide live online streaming of the music festival.

Virtual Glastonbury will feature live online streaming of select performances, including Muse, Orbital and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The BBC, which is providing the virtual Glastonbury site, will leave it up and running after the festival so that viewers can watch highlights of the performances again on demand.

PlayLouder.com, the firm producing the video feeds for the BBC, has confirmed that video will be available online for a month after the event.

The BBC said that a special edition of its Radio Player will offer Glastonbury-related shows on demand.
