Bulldog service suffers performance issue

While some customers of Bulldog's unbundled service have been able to access the Web, others report being unable to play online games. What's angered many Bulldog punters is the lack of information from the broadband ISP.

One reader told us: "For the last 72 hours some of the Bulldog ADSL customers are suffering from massive packet loss on their service, rendering it as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. No details from Bulldog other than it appears it might take another week to get someone to fix the problem."

In a statement Bulldog confirmed what it described as a "performance issue" but insisted that only a handful of punters were hit by the problem.

The ISP said in a statement: "There has been a performance issue identified on one of our LLU metro nodes in London, which has affected the speeds received by a small proportion of our customers.

"Currently we have 16 customer tickets open with speed-related issues.

"We have identified the cause of the performance issue on the metro node, and it will have been resolved by the end of today," it said.
