Google Acquires Like.com

Google has today announced that it's latest acquisition is the shopping site Like.com.

The popular website Like.com provides a forum through which users can browse for accessories using visually driven menus.

The company's founder Munjal Shah said in a statement on the Like.com's website, "We see joining Google as a way to super-size our vision and supercharge our passion. This is something we are truly excited about."

Google has also spoken out about the acquisition and stated their hops that the new branch of their business will forma siginificant part of the Google commerce team.

A Google spokesperson satated, "While Like.com will operate its websites separately in the near term, we're excited about the technology it has built and the domain expertise it will bring to Google as we continue to work on building great e-commerce experiences for our users, advertisers and partners."
