Google's new logo

Google is rolling out a new logo to its services, updating the Google Labs, Google Code and Google Moderator pages so far.

The new design uses a lower case blue text, a move away from the uppercase type previously used.

The search giant claims the new design freshens up its look and will improve consistency and ease of use across its sites.

Its product names such as Maps and News will appear in the simple blue lowercase type alongside the Google logo.
