Online interest sees Internet World registrations soar

More than 5,000 people have registered for this year's Internet World event, a massive 400% increase on last year.

The digital marketing event, which runs from May 9-11, will host seminars, forums and keynote speeches from a who's who of the new media market including MSN, eBay, Lastminute.com and Virgin Radio.

Internet World will cover five key areas of online business: online marketing, search, e-commerce, hosting/connectivity and enterprise content management.

The event's seminar programme will showcase a range of topics including online advertising, affiliate marketing, analytics and measurement, mobile marketing and new technologies; such as viral marketing, rich media, podcasting and Web 2.0.

There will also be a series of panel debates on email marketing, search marketing and usability and accessibility at the Revolution Zone.

Mark Ram, marketing manager of Internet World, said the increased interest in the event reflected the changing media landscape.

"There has been an upflux in online spend over the last few years and it is continuing to increase. The integration of online strategy with offline strategy means marketers need to know how to use these strategies effectively and how to spend their cash effectively."

Internet World is on May 9-11 at Earls Court 2, London. Further information on the event can be found here.
