Survey Shows Uk User Growth

According to research carried out by the UK Online Measurement Company (UKOM), the number of people accessing the internet has already risen by 5 per cent since 2009.

The firm suggests that this could be due to the accessibility of internet users getting connected to a broadband network in their own homes. Aside from increases in broadband connections, with the growth in smart phones and smart phone app's, by this time next year these figures could double.

UKOM pointed the recent growth in internet use, to connection speeds, as higher speeds means that the consumer is able to do more, such as watch TV and video, as well as work from home whilst encountering an enjoyable, fast experience which is becoming a reoccurring theme amongst internet users - speed.

Recent figures released by UKOM show that the UK internet market has grown from 36.9 million in 2009 to 38.8 million at the same time in 2010. Who knows where we'll be in 12 months time, with Mozilla Firefox 4.0, and Web 3.0 laying down roots, the possibilities are web-less.
