your mum is stalking you on Facebook!

Increasingly over protective mothers are using social networks like Facebook and Twitter to watch their grown up children.

Gloria Bianco appeared on US talk show Today Now! to explain how she uses social networks to spy on her son Jeffrey while he's away at university.

"I write to my son Jeffrey about five to six times a day," says Bianco. "It's a great way to remind him to take his cirrhosis medication or just to remind him how much I love my little Jeffrey."

She then gives parents a tips on how to set up a Facebook profile so they can keep track on their children. "I look through all my son's photos every day," she says.

"If your son says he's going to go off snowboarding for the weekend with someone named Jenny you can send her a message to keep her slut hands off unless she wants to find herself in some pretty big trouble."
